How to Make Animal Mask with Cardboard?

It is not just easy to make a mask of a face representing an animal, but it is fun too. Following this simple and easy DIY by using the material of cardboard boxes, you can make a perfect animal mask.

1.  Design the Mask

·  Material

The first step in designing the mask is to choose a specific material. The best material to use in making an animal mask is by using the Cardboard sheet. Choose a specific colour for the cardboard, white is a good option to add the decorations and colours in the end.

·  Shape of Animal

The second step after the selection of the material is the kind of shape that you want as your animal mask. The easiest animal shape can be of a panda. ·  Ribbon

·         Take glue to paste the ribbons on both of the ends, just beside the holes to the edge of the mask to make it firm. Hold it and put weight on it to make sure that it stays put.

·         Other than using ribbon and glue, you can also use a punch hole to makes holes along on the edges perpendicular to the eyeholes. Slip the rope in and make a loop to tie it.

·         Never staple the ribbon or the string, it may get loose and injure the face or eye.

·         After this process, pull the mask around your head and wear the panda mask.

·  Stick Mask

Adding a stick on either side of the mask provides you with the opportunity of holding your mask by your hands. You may get tired of wearing it for long periods, stick masks are also a good option. Either you can keep the stick/handle plain or you can decorate it with colours reflecting the mask.

4.  Preserve the Mask

·  Dry is Better

Use glue plastic wraps if you have to wear the mask at very hot and humid places. Another way to preserve is to use scotch tape on the inside of your mask to prevent the sweat from your face to touch it.
